Paragard is a potent wormer for cats. This product treats multiple worms including roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. This single-dose formula is easy to administer as it comes in a palatable liver flavor. The treatment is safe to be used on cats, breeding queens, and kittens above 2 weeks of age.

How Does It Work?

Paragard has two key ingredients – praziquantel and oxibendazole. When combined together, the ingredients interrupt the neurotransmission of parasites which causes paralysis and eventually death. Regular administration of the product ensures complete protection from recurring worm infection in cats.

• Weight the cat before starting the treatment.
• Fasting before administering the tablet is not required.
• The dose can be given directly into the mouth.
• The dose needs to be administered at the interval of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 weeks of age.
• After the cat reaches the age of 3 months, give individual measured dose every month until 6 months old.
• Thereafter, dose every 3 months.
• Dosage – 1 tablet treats up to 5kg (11 lbs) of cat’s body weight, so administer accordingly.
