Popantel for Dogs

Popantel allwormer tablets are a unique formulation to treat multiple worm infections including roundworm, whipworm, hookworm and tapeworm infections in dogs. It provides extra protection from tapeworm infection to working dogs, which may have access to raw offal. This affordable preventive treatment is specially given for treating tapeworms including Hydatid tapeworms. Excluding heartworm, it treats all the major worm infections and keeps dogs health safe.

Ingredients

• Due to its delicious taste, Popantel is easy to administer in puppies and dogs.
• It is beneficial to puppies of two weeks and older, and suitable to breeding and pregnant dogs as well as stud dogs.
• As Popantel comes in scores, it is simple to calculate the correct dose of administration to your dog according to his age and size.

• It is easy to administer Popantel tablets.
• Either mix it with food or directly administer into the mouth of a dog or puppy.

Dosage:

• According to the body weight of dogs, Popantel tablet dosage varies.
• For a dog weighing 10 kg, one tablet is standard.
• According to different worms, Popantel dosage is directed.
• For Roundworms and Hookworms: Administer Popantel to dogs of 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age and then repeat the treatment every three months.
• For Whipworm: Administer Popantel to puppies of 6 to 8 weeks of age and repeat after 3 months age.
• For Hydatid Tapeworms: Provide treatment every 6 weeks to dogs with Hydatid tapeworms. While on infestation management, avoid feeding them offal.
• For other types of worms: Provide Popantel All Wormer infestation treatment to your dogs regularly every three months.
• For pregnant and lactating bitches: Treat with Popantel at mating, before whelping and then repeat at interval of 3 months, as it reduces chances of intestinal infestation in newborns.

Dosage:

Popantel is available in two sizes.

• One 22 lbs tablet for puppies and dogs up to 22 lbs. 
• One 88 lbs tablet for dogs up to  88 lbs.
• Dogs over  88 lbs and other weights are given a combination of the tablets.

Popantel for Dogs 1 tablet treats 10 kg

Dosage

• Up to 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs) = 1/4 tab
• 2.5 to 5 kg (11 lbs) = 1/2 tab
• 5 to 7.5 kg (16.5 lbs)= 3/4 tab
• 7.5 to 10 kg (22 lbs) = 1 tab
• 10 to 20 kg (44 lbs) = 2 tab
• 20 to 30 kg (66 lbs) = 3 tab
• 30 to 40 kg (88 lbs) = 4 tab

Popantel for small dogs dosage should be rounded up to the nearest 1/4 tablet.

Popantel for Large Dogs 1 tablet treats 40 kg

Dosage

• 30 to 40 kg (88 lbs) = 1 tab
• 40 to 60 kg (132 lbs) = 1 1/2 tab
• 60 to 80 kg (176 lbs) = 2 tab

Popantel for large dogs dosage should be rounded up to the nearest 1/2 tablet.
