Eqvalan Oral Paste for Horses

Eqvalan is a broad spectrum wormer indicated for the treatment of parasitic infestations due to various internal worms including large strongyles, small strongyles, hairworms, pinworms, ascarids, intestinal threadworms, large-mouth stomach worms, neck threadworms and stomach bots. This ready to use paste treats various worms and protects horses from harmful infections. It is safe to use on pregnant mares and breeding stallions without any side effects. 

How Eqvalan works on Horses?

Ivermectin in Eqvalan has a unique mode of action to kill various worms. It disturbs the normal working of nerve cells, which result into paralysis and death of the parasite. This highly active parasitic agent removes all the harmful parasites from horse system and protects them further infestation.

• Administer the paste orally through mouth.
• One syringe treats 600kg of body weight.
• For correct dosage weigh horse before treatment.
• Ensure there is no food in horse’s mouth.
• Each weight marking on the syringe plunger will deliver sufficient paste to treat 100 kg of body weight.
• Unlock the knurled ring by making 1/4 turn and slide the knurled ring up the plunger shaft so that the side nearest the barrel is at the prescribed weight marking.
• Turn the knurled ring 1/4 turn to lock in place.
• Remove the plastic cap from the tip of the nozzle.
• Make sure the horse’s mouth contains no feed. Insert the syringe into the horse’s mouth at the interdental space.
• Advance the plunger as far as it will go, depositing the medication at the base of the tongue.
• Immediately raise the horse’s head for a few seconds after dosing.

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Wash hands after use.
• Do not eat, smoke or drink while handling the product.
• Store it in a cool and dry place.
• Do not use in horses meant for human consumption.

Contraindications:

• Not recommended for dogs or cats.
• Avoid using in horses hypersensitive to the active ingredient.
